Nats Fan Club: Next Meeting Saturday, 5/20, 2 PM w/BARRY SVRLUGA
« on: May 18, 2006, 01:15:29 PM »

I picked up this message at another nats message board...

Hello Nats Fans,

A quick reminder: Our next meeting is this Saturday, May 20th at 2 PM at the Irish Channel
Restaurant. Our guest will be the Washington Post's Nationals beat writer, Barry Svrluga. Barry will be talking about his experiences covering the team, and about his new book, "National Pastime: Sports, Politics, and the Return of Baseball to Washington, D.C." Bring your copies of the book; Barry will be
happy to sign them! (Unfortunately, we won't be able to supply copies of the book for purchase at the meeting.)

Saturday, May 20, 2006
2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Irish Channel Restaurant
500 H Street Northwest
Washington, DC 20001
(in Red Roof Inn, corner of 5th and H Streets, one block from the Gallery Place Metro stop)

In addition, I'll have a couple cool items to give away for anyone who shows up. You won't want to miss this!

Other items of interest:

- I'm collecting money for the trip to Baltimore on Saturday, June 24th for the Orioles-Nats game! The cost will be $50 per person, and includes the seat (in Section 84, which is in the lower deck in left field) and transportation by bus to and from. Please make your checks payable to "The Nats Fan Club" and mail them to:

Nats Fan Club
Attn: Baltimore Trip
12012 Greywing Sq. #A3
Reston, VA 20191

Due to demand, I'll need to limit you to no more than four seats per order. The bus will probably be picking up at Springfield Mall and somewhere in Maryland(possibly Laurel). If you'd be interested in the tickets, but would rather drive yourself, e-mail me and I'll try to accommodate you.

I need to get the money for this trip in by TUESDAY, MAY 30TH, so get those checks in soon!

- Our first official Fan Club Tailgate of the season will also be taking place on Saturday, starting around 4 PM or so (you should be able to head out of our meeting and right on over to the tailgate). Official Fan Club grillmaster and tailgate expert Monty Seidler promises that there will be food, drink, and good times for everyone! Monty will be in Lot 8, probably near the overpass. Come on out and have a good time
with your fellow Fan Club members!

Hope to see you Saturday!

Cheers,
Colin Mills

Hope Dundee United win on Saturday and lose on Tuesday.

Realistically its between us and them for 3rd but I cannae ever want hertz to win.  Would rather come 4th and them relegated than 3rd and them not to go down.

TaylorMade R9 Irons Efficiency
The irons are all of about efficiency. Now I am not saying about to appear over having a poor issue in the commercials coupled with ping g15 irons to add 15 yards but what they offer is wonderful distance sometimes on strikes nowhere near the sweet spot. You possibly can hit that ball perfect off that toe or this heel coupled with watch only minimal loss of distance. This taylormade r9 super tri driver from this deep undercut cavity coupled with heel coupled with toe weighting which lowers the center of gravity. ishiner

Golf Swing Suggestion along with Guidelines

This is called a down ward chop or basically hitting down implying that you just ought not to hit the ball in an upward action. Ishiner Gaining balance combined with understanding the striking dynamics are skills that is usually polished through golf swing training. discount golf clubs Some Outstanding golf players who get mastered their golf swing reach a club head speed that's approximately 100mph while this top ranked pros with the game strike a club head speed of 125mph. ping g15 irons These statistics are just a way to show that the mastering of a golf swing is fundamental for a player who hopes to produce those scores. Getting a outstanding golf swing demands that one particular remains rooted to the ground. taylormade r9 fairway wood This is certainly a fundamental golf swing suggestion as well as guidelines. This implies the fact that golfer needs to discover the art of balance whilst getting a swing. It when you reach balance that you simply can generate wonderful stokes into the holes. callaway x-20 irons Striking that golf ball seriously isn't a matter of how difficult you hit; in truth, that body positioning coupled with a very difficult strike is what helps make for a specialist. ping g15 driver Watch the outstanding players combined with you will find the fact that most excellent swings come related to simply extending the range of activity in between swinging that club and truly getting this strike.
